What a Maintenance Visit Includes

Every visit follows the same order, so you get a comparable record each time rather than a different job depending on who turned up.

Jetting and clearing

We clear the run with high pressure drain jetting, which cuts through fat, scale and early root growth using water alone. Gully clearance and gully emptying are done at the same visit, and our tanker services cover anything the van cannot take away.

Camera inspection and report

After clearing, CCTV drain surveys record the condition of the pipe. CCTV surveys are part of every scheduled visit, not an extra. Defects are graded to WRc classification, so our WRc reports let you see whether something is getting worse between visits rather than guessing. Where a run is unmapped we use drain tracing to plot it.

Customer Testimonials

Don't just take our word for it - our customers rave about our services! Here's what some of our satisfied customers have to say:

Why Maintenance Beats Waiting for a Blockage

Nearly every emergency we attend was preventable. Fat and scale build up slowly, roots enter through a joint over several seasons, and the drain gives no warning until it backs up - usually at the worst moment. Blocked drains are the symptom; the build-up is the cause. Most drainage problems we attend started months earlier.

A maintained run also protects the pipe itself. Standing waste sitting against a defect accelerates it, and a small crack that could have been sealed with patch lining turns into collapsed drain repairs and an excavation. Catching it on camera while it is still a hairline is the difference between a drain relining job and a dig.

For commercial kitchens, care homes and anywhere with a grease load, scheduled cleaning is also the simplest way to show you have taken reasonable care of the drainage on site.

Planned Preventative Maintenance Contracts

We run high and low level PPM contracts for commercial drains, and we have sites on them now. A contract fixes the visit frequency and the scope in advance, so the drainage is handled without anyone having to remember to book it.

Each visit produces a dated record with CCTV footage and a graded report, which builds into a history of the site. Over time that is what tells you which runs need attention and which are fine, so drainage issues get caught while they are still small, and it makes budgeting for drainage predictable rather than reactive.

Commercial drain cleaning, domestic drain services and mixed sites are all handled by the same engineers. Tell us the property and the usage and we will suggest a sensible interval - that is professional advice, not a sales pitch, and the quote for it is free.

Drain Maintenance Nottingham: Book a Visit

Tell us the property, the usage and anything that has gone wrong before, and we will suggest an interval and quote a fixed price for it. Free estimates, no call-out charge.

If something has already blocked, say so and we will deal with that first - our emergency drain service aims to reach you within the hour and meets that on the large majority of call-outs. A prompt response costs you no more than a booked visit.

Drainage Services Across Nottinghamshire

We are drain cleaning specialists covering Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, including Arnold, Hucknall, Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield, and into Derby, Ilkeston and Heanor.

Alongside maintenance we handle drain unblocking, sink and toilet unblocking, drain clearing, drain repairs, drain installation and new drain installations, and guttering including rainwater pipes. Waste removal is covered by transfer notes for anything taken off site.

Where a fault turns out to sit on the public sewer network rather than your own pipework, we will tell you - most shared drains beyond your boundary transferred to Severn Trent in 2011 and are their responsibility, not yours.

Frequently asked questions

How often should drains be maintained?

For a typical home, every twelve to twenty-four months is usually enough. Commercial kitchens and sites with a heavy grease or silt load often need quarterly attention. We will suggest an interval once we have seen the property.

What happens on a maintenance visit?

We jet the run, clear the gullies, then inspect on camera and grade anything we find to WRc classification. You get the footage and a written report.

Can maintenance actually prevent blockages?

It prevents most of them. Fat, scale and root growth build up gradually, and clearing them on a schedule stops them reaching the point where the drain backs up.

Do you cover commercial properties?

Yes. We run high and low level planned preventative maintenance contracts for commercial drains, with fixed visit frequencies and a dated record for each visit.

What if you find a problem during maintenance?

We show you the footage and explain the options. Many defects can be sealed or relined without excavation, and those cost-effective solutions avoid digging altogether.

Do you charge to quote?

No. Quotes are free, there is no call-out charge, and the price we give you on the phone is fixed.
