Jetting and clearing

We clear the run with high pressure drain jetting, which cuts through fat, scale and early root growth using water alone. Gully clearance and gully emptying are done at the same visit, and our tanker services cover anything the van cannot take away.

Camera inspection and report

After clearing, CCTV drain surveys record the condition of the pipe. CCTV surveys are part of every scheduled visit, not an extra. Defects are graded to WRc classification, so our WRc reports let you see whether something is getting worse between visits rather than guessing. Where a run is unmapped we use drain tracing to plot it.

Nearly every emergency we attend was preventable. Fat and scale build up slowly, roots enter through a joint over several seasons, and the drain gives no warning until it backs up - usually at the worst moment. Blocked drains are the symptom; the build-up is the cause. Most drainage problems we attend started months earlier.

A maintained run also protects the pipe itself. Standing waste sitting against a defect accelerates it, and a small crack that could have been sealed with patch lining turns into collapsed drain repairs and an excavation. Catching it on camera while it is still a hairline is the difference between a drain relining job and a dig.

For commercial kitchens, care homes and anywhere with a grease load, scheduled cleaning is also the simplest way to show you have taken reasonable care of the drainage on site.

Each visit produces a dated record with CCTV footage and a graded report, which builds into a history of the site. Over time that is what tells you which runs need attention and which are fine, so drainage issues get caught while they are still small, and it makes budgeting for drainage predictable rather than reactive.
